00How I Work

How I work with clients.

I am not interested in long sales processes or complicated proposals. Here is how it works.

1

Initial Call (30 minutes)

We talk about what you are trying to do, where you are stuck, and what success looks like for you. I ask questions to understand your business model, current situation, and constraints.

By the end of the call, I will know whether I can help you. If I can, I will outline what that would look like. If I cannot, I will tell you that and potentially point you toward someone who can. No pitch deck, no pressure. Just an honest conversation.

2

Proposal

If it makes sense to work together, I send you a short proposal outlining:

  • What specifically we will do
  • Timeline and deliverables
  • What I need from you
  • The investment required

You review it, we get on a call if you have questions, and you decide if you want to move forward.

3

We Get to Work

Projects typically start within a week of signing. You will have direct access to me via email and Slack, no waiting for account managers to get back to you.

For strategy projects, we kick off with a deep-dive session, do the analysis and research, then review everything together and build your roadmap. For ongoing work, we set up regular check-ins (usually weekly or bi-weekly), establish clear communication channels, and build the working rhythm that makes sense for your needs.

4

Staying Aligned

You will always know what I am working on, what I am seeing in the data, and what I think we should do next.

For monthly engagements, we have regular strategy sessions where we review performance, discuss what we are learning, and plan the next phase of work. For project work, I keep you updated throughout and we review everything together before I hand it off.

The standard I believe in over-communication. You should never have to wonder what is happening or chase me for a status.
05What to Expect

What to expect from me

  • Honest recommendationsIf something is not working, I will tell you. If you do not need help with something, I will tell you that too.
  • Strategic thinkingI do not just execute tasks. I think through the implications and push back when something does not make sense.
  • Direct communicationNo corporate-speak or jargon. I explain things clearly and answer questions straight.
  • OwnershipWhen I take something on, I own it. You will not have to chase me or wonder about status.

What I need from you

  • AccessTo your ad accounts, analytics, and any relevant data or documentation.
  • ContextBackground on what you have tried, what has worked, what has not, and why you are making the changes you are making.
  • Honest feedbackIf something is not working or you are not happy, tell me. I cannot fix what I do not know about.
  • Reasonable timelineGood strategy takes time. We work efficiently but will not rush through analysis just to hit an arbitrary deadline.
06Common Questions

Common questions.

How long does it take to see results?

Depends entirely on what we are doing. Strategy projects get you the complete plan within 2 to 3 weeks. Implementation typically shows directional results within 30 to 45 days, though meaningful results, the kind you would base real decisions on, usually take 60 to 90 days.

Do you work with my existing team or agencies?

Yes. I am not territorial about this. If you have people doing good work, great, I will coordinate with them. If you have people doing mediocre work, I will tell you, and we will figure out what to do about it.

What industries do you work in?

Primarily ecommerce (DTC brands, retail) and B2B SaaS. I have worked with food and beverage, apparel, home goods, tech products, professional services, and software companies. The specific industry matters less than the business model and growth stage.

Do you only work with companies in a certain size range?

I work best with companies doing roughly 500K to 15M in annual revenue, though I sometimes work with pre-revenue companies on launch strategy and established companies on specific optimization projects.

What if we are not a good fit?

I will tell you on our first call. I would rather have that honest conversation upfront than waste your time or mine. I am happy to point you toward other resources or people who might be a better match.

How do you charge?

Project work is a fixed fee. Ongoing work is a monthly retainer. I will outline the specifics in your proposal. I do not do hourly billing. I think it creates weird incentives.
